COMPONENTS
1x Tipjar Script
1x Sample Settings Notecard
1x Sample Permission Notecard
1x Tipjar Timecard Help Script (optional)
CONFIGURATION
Configuration is designed to be as simple as possible.
1. Rez a prim, or premade tipjar. Ensure that it is set to the correct group.
2. Drop the Settings and Permission notecard into the prim, after updating them.
3. Drop the Tipjar script into the prim.
4. Once this is complete, the tipjar will display the text 'Ready' in red above it. In this state, only the user who opens the box and the owner, can reset it.
SETTINGS NOTECARD
The settings notecard is laid out as follows. To make the script ignore a line, put two dashes '--' at the beginning of it.
OWNER 1 KEY
OWNER 2 KEY
OWNER 3 KEY
OWNER 4 KEY
COUNT METHOD (TOTAL/LAST)
LOGOUT METHOD (PUNISH/NORMAL)
TEXTURE SIDE
ROLES,PERCENTAGE SPLIT
USING THE TIPJAR
1. Make sure that you're wearing the correct group tag.
2. Touch the tipjar, and a menu will ask if you want to open this tipjar. Select 'Yes'.
3. From the next menu, select your role from the menu.
4. The tipjar will then open, and people are able to pay it. When someone does, you will recieve a notification in the form of a blue menu, saying who paid you, and how much they tipped. The total will be shown in white text above the tipjar.
5 To log out, just click the tipjar once. It will reset and be ready for the next user.
ADDITIONAL SETTINGS
TIMECARD HELP - This script counts the amount of time an employee spends logged in to the tipjar. At the end of their shift, it sends them an Instant Message telling them how lon ghtey worked for, to make timecard-keeping easy. Using this script is optional.
COUNT METHOD - Determines whether the tipjar says the Total L$ tipped, or the Last donation.
LOGOUT METHOD - NORMAL means that people who are logged out by admins will still recieve their cut, PUNISH means that the tips inside the jar will be split between the owners, and no cut will be sent to the employee. The employee also recieves a warning when logging in, to encourage them to collect their tips at the end of their shift.
PROFILE IMAGE - When logging in, there are three buttons to choose from when deciding if a user wants to actviate this Tipjar. These options are 'Yes (Pic), Yes (NoPic), No'. Selecting 'Yes (Pic)' allows the script to use the user's profile image on the side of the root prim named in 'TEXTURE SIDE' in the Settings notecard. When the user is logged out, or if the user decides not to display their profile image on the Tipjar, the Tipjar will display either a blank texture or, if one is found, the first texture in the Tipjar's inventory.
ROUND PAY - 'Round Pay' forces tipping customers to tip round numbers (that is, numbers ending in a 0, such as 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200, 1230). This ensures that all splits between owners and employees remain accurate, whilst providing the minimum amount of distruption to the tipping process.
The option to log in without using a profile pic ( 'Yes (NoPic)' ) had to be included as using an avatars profile image without permission is a violation of Second Life's TOS. The option of choosing Pic or NoPic also acts as a disclaimer.

Sparkle Floor
[02.20.08]
L$256 ($0.98)
[v1.3] |
[Prims: 4]
|
[0 Sales]
|
COMPONENTS
1x Sparkle Floor
1x Sample Alpha Notecard
3x Sample Textures
ADDING TEXTURES
Initially, there should be 3 textures inside the floor. One for each of the layers. The textures will be used 'top down', where the top texture applies to the top layer, and so on.
Drag and drop textures into the root prim, and it will update the child prims.
Editting the Alpha Settings notecard is explained in more detail inside the notecard itself. Enter in 3 numbers, between 0 (transparent) and 1 (opaque). Save the notecard to apply the settings.
NOTE: For ease of use, the textures used are laid out in alphabetical order, from top layer to particle texture. You may have to rename your textures to accomodate for this.
NOTE: It is recommended that you do not 'unlink' the SparkleFloor unless you know what you're doing.
PARTICLE TEXTURES
To change the particle texture, simply add a fourth texture into the root prim. (Note that you will need to have three textures in the floor already). The particle texture will then update automatically, and it will use the fourth texture down in the inventory.
SETTING UP
Once rezzed, the SparkleFloor should be ready for use. Touch it to recieve the configuration menu.
This menu can be set to Owner Access only (the default), or access via group (by clicking the 'Allow Group' button).
The remainder of the buttons change the way the floor is animated.
Basic functions (Spin, Zoom, Stationary) are straightforward.
Functions with a 'Counter' ahead of their title are inverted, and may create some interesting effects.
You will then be asked to set the speed. If you choose not to (by clicking Cancel/Ignore), the floor will use the speed that it was last set to.
