inDIVidual Thought was established in 2006. Since then it has grown to two members of staff and it now operates and has experience in multiple virtual environments.
The company specialises in customised programming projects and web presences. Content creation such as designs, operating manuals and distribution materials is also within the company's abilities.
We believe that something far more powerful than the Internet exists. It is our long-term aim to explore ourselves and our natures, so that we can bring Humanity closer together.
It is our desire to encourage this growth in all ways. We will move forwards.
inDIVidual Thought and its developmental staff comply with strict ethical guidelines laid down universally, across all functions of the company. It also aims to encourage these guidelines on those that the company deals with.
inDIVidual Thought will never discriminate or pass personal judgement on residents or their choices.
- inDIVidual Thought will work on projects regardless of surrounding 'lifestyle' choices made by the residents requesting them. This includes (but is in no way limited to) race, creed, sexual preference, age, species or subculture. The only requirement is that inDIVidual Thought staff are able to work on the project in a safe and non-threatening environment.
- inDIVidual Thought will provide an equivalent level of support and service to all residents.
inDIVidual Thought will not abuse any instance of trust.
- Full permissions objects, animations, textures or other content created by non-inDIVidual Thought developers will never be redistributed or resold without direct, printed permission.
- Viewable scripts (either in-world or scripts sent via email, Pastebin or similar services) will never be exploited, copied or reverse-engineered or used for commercial gain.
- inDIVidual Thought will never clone ('Copybot'), duplicate or exploit other resident-created content, neither will it support any operations that condone such activities.
- Both local chat and instant messages will be logged by all members of the inDIVidual Thought development team. Quotes may be used for specification and development purposes, and otherwise passed around inside the company without boundary, no exceptions. Logs will only be passed around to third parties if deemed necessary (for abuse reporting and other security tasks) to ensure the safe, liability-free operation of the company and its staff.
inDIVidual Thought respects the privacy of its customers.
- Operational or marketing data from the company will never be made available to any third party. Additionally any data retained by inDIVidual Thought will be kept securely and protected.
- Data stored by inDIVidual Thought's operational and marketing systems will never be abused by the company. Only informative/promotional or service/update related material will be distributed by the system.
- A customer may remove their data from the marketing system at any time.
